Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Chafe

Elizabeth Anne Chafe of  Port au Choix, NL

October 11, 1953 - July 16, 2025

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Elizabeth Anne Chafe announce her passing on July 16, 2025 while in Alberta at the age of 71 years. 

She leaves to mourn her spouse Karl Gaslard, her children:  Jason Kennedy (Nicole Jackson), Tim Kennedy (Jessica) and Andy Chafe (Lacey Wells); her grandchildren:  Jade Williams (Griffin), Hannah Dobie (PJ Conlon), Riley Sutton, Jaxson Kennedy, Sophia Kennedy and Lance Chafe; great grandchild Forrest Williams; siblings:  Sandra Durdle, Glenys Chafe Sears, Ruby Grouchy, Kelvin Chafe and Geoff Chafe (Joyce).

Elizabeth is predeceased by her parents:  mother Alfreda Chafe, father Eric Chafe; brothers:  Eric Chafe and Gordon Chafe; brothers-in law:  Edmund Durdle and Fred Grouchy.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Jolene and the staff of Parkland Funeral Home in Red Deer for their support during this difficult time.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 7pm - 9pm, at Saint John The Divine Anglican Church in Port Saunders, Nl.

Funeral will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 @ 2pm, at Saint John The Divine Anglican Church in Port Saunders, NL, with the Reverend Marie Smith officiating.

Inurnment to follow at at the Sandy Cove Interfaith  Cemetery in Port Saunders.
