Obituary of Ellen Nora Tatchell

February 21, 1945 - September 5, 2025

It is with heavy hearts the family of the late Ellen Tatchell from Castor River South announce her passing on Friday, September 5th, 2025 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, in Corner Brook, NL at the age of 80. She will be forever missed.

She leaves to mourn her children:  Sophia (Michael), Marvy, Phyllis (Jim), Alvin (Sadie), Martin (Georgette), Rodina (Brendan) and Bobbi (Bob); grandchildren:   Deborah (Damion), Stephanie (Morgan), Stephen (Courtney) Sara (Vincent), Rain and Teagan; great grandchildren:  Leah Rylan and Kai; sisters;  Annie, Alicia and Mary; brothers:  Anthony and Ben; special niece Della, as well as a large circle of friends.

Ellen is predeceased by her husband of 26 years, Garfield; life partner Darius, parents:  Anthony and Mary Ann, son Michael, sisters:  Helen and Helena, brothers:  Thomas and Alfred; niece Catherine. 

Thank you to the staff at Rufus Guinchard Health Care Centre and the staff of Western Memorial Regional Hospital for their outstanding care, Ellen was provided.  A special thank you to a special friend Ins, for all you did for our beloved Ellen.  We appreciate your compassion and kindness, more than you will ever know.  " Special Thanks to Maggie for all your kindness and helping out whenever Ellen needed it" and to Rory, a special thanks for being with us until the very end.  We can never thank you enough.

Visitation:  Queen of the Angel's Roman Catholic Church in Castor River South

Monday, September 8th, 2025 from 7pm - 9pm.

Tuesday, September 9th, 2025  from 9am - 9pm with Family Service starting @ 7:30.

 No Funeral Service in lieu of her wishes for cremation.  A Graveside Service to be scheduled at a later date.
