Obituary of Minnie Montague

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Minnie Montague announce her passing on September 8, 2025, at Long Term Care, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 87.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Kevin Montague (Shirley), Wanda Blake (David), Gordon Montague (Dale), Denise Montague (Robin) and Pamela Montague (Matthew); grandchildren: Lorraine (Gerry), Krista (Michael), Travis (Delisha), John (Carly), Michael (Kelly), Kara (Brad), Kevin, Tony and Finley; great grandchildren: Wesley, Arika, Tristen, Percey, Rhianna, Russell, Brandon, Riley, Vera, Maizie, TJ and Parker; sister: Eileen Butt; brother: Pierce Beals (Colette); as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and a large circle of family and friends.

Minnie was predeceased by her parents: Margaret and Francis Beals; husband: Russell Montague; son: Percy Montague; daughter in law: Ruth Montague; sister: Mary Agnes Butt; brother: Fred Beals; and brother in laws: Ches and Clifford Butt.

The funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the North West River United church, starting at 2:00 p.m. with Father Joe, officiating. Interment to follow at the North West River community cemetery.
