Obituary of Robert Piwas

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Robert (Bob) Piwas announces his passing at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in St. John’s, NL on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the age of 62. Leaving to mourn with loving memories, his children; Beverly, Edward, Marina, sisters; Emma, Mary Jane, Mary Lucy, Germaine, brothers; Paul, Dennie, Willie, Jeffrey, Marcus, Michael and aunt; Brigitta, 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, a large number of nieces and nephews. Robert is predeceased by his parents, Edward (Etuet) and Agathe (Akat).

Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from the hours of 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A wake will be held in Natuashish on the evening of September 14, 2025 at 1 Nui Street.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Anne Tshukuminu Roman Catholic Church in Natuashish with Father Thomas Praveen officiating. Reception to follow at the tent at 1 Nui Street.   The family would like to sincerely thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers and support during this difficult time.
