It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts; the family of Barbara Ann Hynes announce her passing on September 10^th, 2025.

She leaves to mourn her children Sandy (Micheal), Todd (Avril), grandchildren Nicholas (Becky), Jonathan, Kaia, Brody, Alexander, and great grandson Kai; Her partner Warrick, sisters and brothers Judy (Carter), Ben (Cathy), Vera Lynn (George), Joy (Pat).

She is predeceased by her parents Horace, Maisie, and brother Ed.

Barbara was known for her zest of life and sense of style. She had a way of making anyone she met feel special. Her passions in life were gardening, playing cards (Especially bridge) and her excitement for winning was well known to anyone who played with or against her. Shopping was a competitive sport, and any good find was celebrated with sheer joy particularly if found at a great price. Barbara was well traveled but the places that gave her the most joy and peace were her frequent trips to British Columbia and the Hawaiian Islands to visit her children and grandchildren. Her kindness, generosity of spirit, and fun-loving personality will be desperately and sorrowfully missed. Rest in love until we meet again.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 15^th, 2025 at 11AM at Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Marks Ave, with Father Ed Terry officiating, burial to follow at Mount Patrica’s Cemetery.
