Obituary of David Park (CARD OF THANKS)

The family of David Park would like to express our sincere gratitude to those who offered support, sent messages, delivered food, flowers, cards, phone calls and made donations.

Special thanks to those who contributed to the funeral service, also Pastor Orvin Canning. Thank you to Mindy Holloway and the staff of Fillatre Funeral Home for their guidance and compassion. We would like to thank the ladies of the Pentecostal church for providing the luncheon after the service.

Thank you to the Cox’s Cove Fire Department for the many trips they made to our home to assist David during his illness. Special thanks to Terry and Evelyn Wells for the help taking David back and forth to his medical appointments, your thoughtfulness will not be forgotten.

April 13, 1945 – September 12, 2025

Cox’s Cove, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late David Park announce his passing on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 80 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 56 years Daisy (nee Janes); children: Paul (Lisa), Cox’s Cove and Paula (Mike), Kitchener, Ontario;  grandchildren: Johnny Park, Sasha Park and Tyler Colquhoun; sisters and brother: Alice (Gerald) Wheeler, Joey (Loretta) Park, Anita Baldwin and Evelyn (Terry) Wells; brothers and sisters-in-law: Randy (Lottie) Janes, Renny (Mary) Janes, Paula Janes and Sylvia Janes; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John and Jenny Park, sisters Margaret (John) Lovell, Nona Lavassaur, Katie (Richard) Stumpf and Marjorie Park, brothers Jackie (Stella) and Andy (Bridget), parents-in-law Edward and Elsie Janes, brothers and sisters-in-law Dawson Janes, John Janes, Dennis Janes, Todd (Arlene) and Bud Baldwin.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church in Cox’s Cove on Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 17 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Orvin Canning officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Emmanuel Pentecostal Church or the Cox’s Cove Fire Department.
