Obituary of Madeline Mary Flynn
Madeline Mary Flynn
Forteau, NL
1953-2025
It is with broken hearts, the family of Madeline Mary Flynn announce her passing on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Western Memorial Hospital after a short but courageous battle with cancer. We are devastated.
She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 51 years, Nelson Flynn; her daughter, Amy Drover (Chris), son, Keith Flynn(Terri); grandsons, Jack and Simon Drover.
She is predeceased by her parents, Agnes & Richard Glynn, brother, William; her parents in-law, Bella & Wilfred Flynn and most recently, sister -in-law, Ethel Flynn. She will be sadly missed by her sisters, brother, sisters in-law & brothers in-law and all those who knew her.
Madeline was community and family spirited, a devout Christian who gave freely of her time. She was a member of the Forteau Anglican Church, the ACW and the Forteau Lions Club.
Madeline loved all her family deeply. She was an exceptionally devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandsons, Jack & Simon were her pride and joy.
She had a love of the outdoors and could often be found walking no matter the season. Nature brought her peace and walking was her way of keeping both her mind and body strong.
Visitation will be held on Monday 7-8 p.m. from St. Peter's Anglican Church, Forteau, from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 16 at 3:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery.
