October 25, 1994 – September 19, 2025

With broken hearts, we share the passing of Cody Ryan, who left us on September 19, 2025 at just 30 years old, after a brave and inspiring battle with cancer.

Cody will be forever loved and remembered by his devoted husband Matthew, his loving parents Emmaline Ryan and John Ryan, his brother Shane Ryan and his mother-in-law Corina Gushue. He also leaves behind a large extended family and many cherished friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Edna and Edgar Anthony, Caroline and Sydney Downey, and his childhood friend Timothy Tarbett.

Cody had a heart of gold -kind, caring, generous, and always ready to lend his support. If you were fortunate enough to call him a friend, you knew the gift of true and loyal friendship. His warm and loving spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

A passionate fan of basketball, Cody’s love for the game shone brightly from his school years through college, where he proudly played on various teams. The sport remained a special joy in his life.

Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue, on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 23 at 1:00 pm from Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Mickton officiating, cremation will follow the funeral service.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society http://www.cancer.ca
