It is with great sadness that the family of the late Shirley Callahan announce her passing on September 20, 2025, at the age of 67 years.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, partner Dwight (Monty) Carter; daughters Jennifer Austin, Amanda Austin (Steve), and Patty Ryckman (Jay); grandchildren Dakota, Cody, Sadie, Krista, Jeremy, Brianna, Braeden, Kaylee, and Bailey; brothers Bill Ryckman, Glenn Ryckman, Keith Ryckman (Michelle); sister Lisa Ryckman; step-mom Louise Ryckman; best friends Diane Parsons and Helen Tapp; as well as other family members and friends.
Shirley was predeceased by her grandsons Tyler and Steve, her father Joe Ryckman; and sister-in-law April.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Western Memorial Regional Hospital and to the Palliative Care Unit for their care and kindness.
As per Shirley’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no services at this time.
