It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harry Saunders announce his passing on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at the Western Long-Term Care in Corner Brook at the age of 87 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories; children: Pamela Saunders, Janice Ash (Eric), Tracey Randell (Raymond) and Jamie Saunders; grandchildren: Michael, Steven (Alyssa), Stephanie (Zach), Matthew (Megan) and Krista; one great-granddaughter Lily; brothers, Stan Saunders (Ellen) and Bob Saunders (Anne); brothers and sisters-in-law: Maude Knee (Ben), Frances Brake, Dan Balwin (Vallis), Don Penney, Anita Baldwin, Shirley Baldwin and Thomas Hussey; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.

He is predeceased by his loving wife, Ruth (nee Baldwin), 2024; parents Jack and Phoebe Saunders, sister Flossie Barnes; brothers and sisters-in-law: Ida Gough (Selby), Laura Mercer (Bill), Bud Baldwin, Dave Baldwin (Barbara) Gilbert Baldwin, Mick Baldwin, Archibald Baldwin, Peggy Hussey, Doily Penney, Pete Barnes and parents-in-law John and Gertrude Baldwin.

The family would like to express a warm Thank you to the staff at Nature’s Haven, Western Long Term Care for the tender and loving care provided to our Dad. Your kindness and devotion did not go unnoticed, and we will be forever grateful.

Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook on Tuesday 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 24^th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove with Rev. Terry Loder officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Cox’s Cove. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nicholas Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
