Marie Holmes
1942-2025
Marie passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25th with family by her side in Corner Brook, Newfoundland at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Beverley Holmes for 57 years. Much loved mother of Timothy Holmes and Tanya Holmes (Ian MacDonald). Devoted grandmother of Jayde, Alexander, Zoe, Kyla, Kendra and Dani. Marie is survived by her loving sister Lois Foster of Brantford, Ontario. She was a special aunt to her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Lorne and Rhoda Perdue. Marie was a teacher in Hamilton, Ontario. She was actively involved in many volunteer and church associations in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. She was an avid birdwatcher, and gardener, and loved to travel. She was a trusted and loved friend to countless people and was always available to help when needed. She will be sorely missed by many.
Cremation has taken place, a service will be held at a later date in Ontario.
