Obituary of Arthur Riche

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Arthur Riche (Gus) announce his passing on October 1^st, 2025, at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 87 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his nieces: Lorraine (Gerald), and Jennifer (Rocky); nephews: Joseph (Johanne) and Jeffery (Josselyn); great nieces and nephews: Shawn, Shannon, Kenny, Crystal, Carrie, Terri, Danielle, Jonathan, Lori, Kimmy, Mariah; and many great great nieces and nephews; and special friends: Kevin Wall and Francis Coates.

Arthur was predeceased by his father: Arthur Rich; mother: Phoebe Rich; sister: Anne Michelin; brother-in-law: Oswald Michelin; and nephews: Bruce Michelin and Kenneth Michelin.

Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL on Friday, October 3^rd, 2025, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4^th, 2025, from St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL, starting at 2:00 pm with Rev Nellie Thomas officiating.  Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Ground Search and Rescue, Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Dr Crocker and the in patient staff of the Labrador Health Centre for the care of Gus during his stay. Thanks also to Tyrone Hill (Stephen) for his good care as Gus’s one on one.
