Paul Thomas Caines

June 8, 1948 – October 2, 2025

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Paul Caines announces his passing on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 77 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children; Melissa (Ron) Young, Upper Gagetown, NB, Jeff (Shelley) Caines, Charlottetown, PEI, and Scott (Allysia) Caines, Gillams; grandchildren: Gwendolyn, Kaleb, Jacob, Madeline, Amelia and Levi; three brothers, Derek, Brian (Lammert) and Blair (Brad); as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is predeceased by his wife Betty (nee Gallant) in 2017, and parents Clifford and Gertrude Caines.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Mountainview Home in Meadows, where Paul resided for a period, and to the staff at Corner Brook Long Term Care, Blueberry Cresent Unit for the exceptional care and kindness that was shown to Paul.

Granting his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Sunday, October 5^th from 11 – 2:00 PM. An interment will take place at a future date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted, or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
