Jeanette Organ
September 21, 1946 – October 7, 2025
It is with deep love and sadness that the family of Jeanette Organ share her peaceful passing on October 7, 2025, at the age of 79, surrounded by her loving family in Corner Brook, Newfoundland.
Jeanette was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves to mourn her beloved husband, Bud Organ; her cherished daughters Heather Organ-Sheppard (Neil Sheppard) and Marie Foran (Greg Foran); and her adored grandchildren Ben and Gracie Foran, who brought immense joy and light into her life.
She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Robert Hiscock (Marjorie Hiscock), sister Judy Heffern (Keith Gilman) and nieces and nephews Rob (Scott), Ryan (Angela), Jeanna (Richard).
Jeanette was predeceased by her parents Jonas and Trixie Hiscock, her grandparents Llewelyn and Rachel Ralph, and her brother Ralph Winston Hiscock.
Jeanette began her career as a teacher in Rocky Harbour where she met the love of her life, Bud. Together, they began their life’s journey in Red Bay, Labrador, where they established roots and became involved in the family businesses along the Labrador coast. During her years there, Jeanette was a dedicated member of the Women’s Institute, finding joy in connecting with others and contributing to her community wherever it was needed.
During this time, the family divided their lives between the beautiful Labrador coast and the Eastport Peninsula, living first in Burnside and later in Eastport.
After leaving Red Bay, Jeanette returned to the Eastport Peninsula, where she raised her family, helped run the family business, and became passionately involved in the Lions Club.
In later years, Jeanette and Bud settled in Norris Point, where they made a warm and welcoming home for family and friends. Jeanette continued her involvement with the Lions Club, where she found joy, friendship, and fulfillment in helping others.
As per her wishes, there will be no visitation. The funeral service will take place at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Norris Point on Saturday, October 11, at 2 pm with Rev. Green officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada or the Canadian Healthcare Foundation for Vascular Health.
Jeanette will be forever remembered for her strength, compassion, and unwavering love for her family. She lived fully, gave freely, and will be deeply missed.
