The Family of the late Elizabeth Ann Vincent (Lynch) announce her passing at the age of 75 in the town of Corner Brook at Western Regional Memorial Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Ann was born in Curling to William and Winifred Lynch on May 25th, 1950. Ann went to school at Sacred Heart Elementary in Curling and as well completed her early childhood education diploma. Being raised in Curling, Ann dedicated her life to her family. After the death of her mother at the tender age of 26, she took on the responsibility of raising her siblings alongside her beloved children, 7 in total, from 1-15 years of age.
Ann is survived by her husband of 15 years (2009), Donald Vincent, her children, Shannon Lynch, Patrick (Tammy) Higgins and Stephanie (Bradley) Lovell. All her siblings - Buck (Mill), Mike (Elaine), Lynette, Noel, Dymphna, Colleen and Shane Lynch. Her grandchildren - Robin, Danielle (Ryan), Rebecca, Triston, Casey and Georgie and her great grandchildren - Harvey, Walter, Samson, Snowy, Tyr, Lux, and Ira – As well as her extended Vincent family, Junior, Kristina and others whom Ann loved as much as her own. And her close friend Sherri LePrieur.
Ann is predeceased by her parents William and Winifred Lynch, and her treasured niece Andrea.
For many years Ann was an avid bowler and coach with the Corner Brook YBC. One of her proudest moments was coaching the Corner Brook and Port Aux Basque teams in the NL Canada Games. Ann completed her Early Childhood Education Diploma and began to work outside her home. Two families in particular hold a special place in her heart, Anthony Randell and Matthew and Ellie Humphries. They have always been a meaningful topic within Anne’s life and career.
Ann was a very remarkable lady to many, always optimistic and keeping a smile on her face with her head held high even through life's toughest moments. Ann was always grateful for her blessings and knew that everything happened for a reason. Her thoughtfulness, love, dedication to family, independence, and fearlessness have deeply shaped her family and will live on in the people who have continually made her life so special, her "girls."
Ann and her family wish to extend their deepest appreciation to Drs Rorke, Pasha, Park and Osbourne, as well as all the nurses and staff at the Corner Brook Cancer Centre and the Corner Brook Palliative Care unit.
