Obituary of Hank Penashue

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hank Penashue announce his passing on Saturday, October 12^th, 2025, at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 63 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife: Caroline Penashue; children: Robin Piwas, Mary Georgette Penashue, Louisa Penashue and Monique Penashue; mother: Mary Adele Penashue; brothers: Basil, Joseph, Andrew, and Antuan; sisters: Louisa, Catherine, Emma, Rose and Justine; and grandchildren: Seth, Landon, Paulette, Will David, Sandy, Sophie, Fernando, Michael, Jeremiah, Pien, Pako, Sarah and Paulus; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Hank was predeceased by his father: Louis Penashue; brother: Maurice and baby brother Antuan; and grandchild: North Penashue.

Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home on Monday, October 13^th, 2025, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.

A wake will be held at CYN, Sheshatshiu, NL on Tuesday, October 14^th, 2025, starting at 5:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15^th, 2025, from the Roman Catholic Church, Sheshatshiu, NL starting at 11:00 am with Father Joe officiating.
