Gloria Burton

April 27, 1945 – October 22, 2025

It is with sad and breaking hearts that the family of their sister Gloria Burton announce her passing on October 22, 2025 at Corner Brook Long Term Care, at the age of 80 years.

Left to mourn are sisters; Vickie (Laurie), Mary (Merril), Evelyn (Marve – deceased), Brother; Vance (Sylvia), sister-in-law; Muriel (Max – deceased) and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by parents Maxwell and Louise Burton, sister Gladys Costella, brother Max, and nephews Burton Hamilton and Bill McDowell 

Gloria was a very loving and giving person and loved her family and her nieces and nephews. She loved her church and was an active member of the UCW. She was a steward in the first united church and was a leader in explorers. She was also involved with the Tops group, enjoying her time with them. Gloria worked with the Department of Finance until retirement. She had many hobbies, one of which was quilting in which she excelled.

The family gratefully thanks all care workers on Gooseberry Lane, 1^st and 2^nd Floor, and Raspberry Road, who took such great care of her. They were her second family. She really enjoyed art classes and shows, and fashion shows 4she loved taking part in.

Following Glorias wishes, cremation has taken place. Service and interment at a later date to be announced.
