Obituary of Leo Hagerty
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leo John Patrick Hagerty announce his passing on October 24th, 2025, at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 79 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of 52 years: Lillian Hagerty; children: Paul (Debbie) and Shelley (Brian); grandchildren: Andrew (Andrea) and Brynn; great grandchildren: Lucas and Cohen Hughes; 5 brothers and 6 sisters; as well as many extended relatives and friends.
Leo was predeceased by his parents: Patrick and Margaret Hagerty.
As per his wishes cremation will take place in the coming days.
A funeral service will be announced at a later date. This will be a private family service by invite only.
We will never be able to send enough thanks to the most amazing health care staff at the Labrador Health Centre, as he received the absolute finest of care during his stay. Many thanks to his long time friend and “favourite” nurse Angie, and nurses Andrea and Tina, as well as Dr. O’Dea and Dr Curran. We would also like to send sincere thanks to Father Boniface.
