It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Aylward announce his passing on Friday, October 24th at his home residence, Kippen’s at the age of 71.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Jenita; son, Jonathan (Ashley); daughter, Jennifier; grandchildren: Ryan, Lucas, Morgan, Lexi, Grayson and Landon; sisters: Betty Mackenzie, Nova Scotia, Denise Able, Toronto; brother, Jimmy (Francie), Stephenville and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

John had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. He loved his family and grandchildren with all his heart and soul. He loved nature and fishing at Grand Lake and couldn’t wait for evening time to go for a flick!! We miss you and love you forever.

He is predeceased by his parents: James Aylward and Isabelle Benoit; brothers: Derrick, Julian, Ivan, Donny and Michael Joseph; sister Kathy and nephew’s, Tommy Forsyth and Todd Able.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29th, 2-4 pm at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 37 West Street, Stephenville Crossing.

As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations made be made to Alcoholics Anonymous, Gander.
