Rosetta Nancy Smith
August 4, 1972 - October 27, 2025
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Rosetta Nancy Smith at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, at the age of 53 years. She was surrounded by her loving family and made comfortable by the wonderful palliative care staff, who we can’t thank enough.
Rosetta will be forever missed by the love of her life, Craig Brown and their son Bobby Smith. They were the cornerstone of her life and she loved them more than words could say.
Rosetta is predeceased by her father, Jordon Smith, and grandparents, Harry Samson and Benjamin and Fay Smith, as well as her parents-in-law, George and Selina Brown.
She leaves to mourn her mother, Clara Smith, her grandmother, Emma Samson, her siblings: Jeanette (Boyd) Curl, Lyle (Darlene) Smith, Brendon (Shandy) Smith, and her sisters-in-law, Denise (Carl) Snook and Jackie Brown (Andrew).
She was loved and will be forever missed by a large circle of extended family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews: Charley, Chelsey, Sydney, Adam, Jackson, Gregory, Roxy, Kenny, Morgan and Georgia. We also can’t forget to mention the littlest ones, her great-nephews and great-nieces, who she took great pride in and thought the world of. Weston and Dawson especially loved Aunt Rose and looked forward to her video calls.
Rosetta was known for her incredible wit, her sarcastic manner and her big laugh. She was a Labrador girl through and through, and loved her home, her cabin, but most of all, her family. We don’t know how we’re going to go on without her, but we take solace in the belief that she is in a better place with no pain and suffering, hopefully enjoying a chat with her beloved Dad.
A celebration of life will be held at St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church in Mary’s Harbour, Labrador on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Mary’s Harbour Harbourview Manor in Rosetta’s memory.
