Obituary of Tony Sharpe
Anthony “Tony” Bernard Sharpe
July 05,1964 – October 28,2025
Of
Stephenville Crossing , NL
It is with profound sadness that the family of Tony Sharpe announce his peaceful passing at his home in Stephenville Crossing. Tony was surrounded by his family and friends in the place he built and loved with his wife Michele. This was a gift as well as a blessing that he could return to our home until he left to go to his eternal home.
Tony was a fun loving, kind, caring, respectful, hardworking man. He was a private man but did enjoy the company of friends and family and was well known throughout the area. He enjoyed his chosen life work of carpentry, learning from his family and working at White’s Building Supplies for 20 years. Following that time he worked in various places but was happy to return and work with Brian and Byron Lucas of Lucas Bothers Construction. In recent years Tony with Brian and Byron worked for Dale Merkle and Theresa Keeping at Indian Head Solutions which has been a very happy time in his life. He felt great respect for Dale and Theresa and camaraderie with Brian and Byron in these recent years enjoying the work, the environment and the laughs everyone shared.
Tony loved his home. He enjoyed taking care of the home inside and outside. Everyone knew the care and upkeep he did, especially his lawn. The lawn was his ritual weekly task and he never complained about things. He lived and enjoyed everything.
Tony enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed running and baseball/softball in his young life and walking one of his Labrador retrievers, or fishing with his brother Eddy or his best bud Francis in his adult life. Tony had a great love and respect for his wife and his family and his friends and loved the community of Stephenville Crossing. He would not consider to live anywhere else, but “Home”

The family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all our close friends that called, visited, encouraged and sat and listened, cried and laughed as we walked through this difficult journey. You all know who you are and we would have never been able to walk this road as well as we did without the love and support you all gave. The support is so cherished and will never be forgotten.
Thank you to the support of the Chemotherapy staff at STRH, Dr. Lamswood, Colleen, Monica and Katie. Also thank you to the Community Health Nurses, Lance, Shauna and Katie. Everyone was so kind and caring. A wonderful team to have at our side.
