Weldon (Will) Gordon Wheeler

May 18, 1941 - October 29, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Weldon (Will) Gordon Wheeler on Wednesday October 29th, 2025 at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, after a courageous battle with cancer at 84 years old.

Will moved from Corner Brook NL to Toronto ON at the age of 17.  In June 1966, married Eleonora Audra Montvydas who predeceased him on October 29, 2005.  They had shared 21 years and two daughters together.  After reconnecting with his highschool sweetheart, Beverley Lundrigan (nee Martin), they married December 1998.  They shared 22 years together residing in Corner Brook, Halifax, Montreal, York Harbour and Florida with many visits to Ontario in between.  Beverley predeceased him on April 14, 2020.

He will be dearly missed by daughter Ruth and husband Dan Wiederhold and daughter Kathy and husband Pete Durdle.  He was a proud grandad of Brett, Brianna, Jessica and Jack.

Will had 12 siblings and is survived by brothers Don (Betty), Derek (late wife Sue), Ernie (Marg), sisters Phyllis (John), and Sandra (Dan), as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Will is predeceased by his parents Frank & Georgina (nee Ruth) Wheeler, brothers Melvin, Jim, Jerry, Rudy and Wayne sisters Evelyn and Keaty.

As arranged by Will, he will be joining his beloved Beverley at Mount Patricia Cemetery.  A celebration of life and Interment will follow in the spring of 2026.  Date to be announced.
