Mabel Peddle, age 83, of Burgeo, Newfoundland, passed away peacefully on November 8th, 2025, at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre in Stephenville Crossing, Newfoundland.
Mabel was born in Cape Lahune, Newfoundland, on January 7th, 1942, to the late Harvey and Joyce Barter. She later moved to Burgeo, where she grew up surrounded by family and friends. Mabel was one of four siblings and is lovingly remembered by her brothers and sister: Cecil Barter (Ethel), Rose Chant (George), and Gerald Barter (Barbara).
Mabel was predeceased by her loving husband, Don, and will be missed terribly by her five children: Lee, Paul (Darlene), Darlene (Mike), Michelle (Jeff), and Kim. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren — Dylan, Samantha, Megan, Devon, and Macy — along with her great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her dear cousin Gloria Dominey (Jim).
Mabel will be fondly remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
