Clifton William Parsons
December 22, 1934 - November 17, 2025
It is with great sadness the family of Clifton William Parsons announce his passing on November 17, 2025, at the age of 90, at the Corner Brook Long Term Home, he passed peacefully surrounded by loving family.
Born in Trout River to George and Sarah Parsons (nee Crocker). He moved to Corner Brook at the early age of 15 years old looking for work and that is where he met his wife, Dorothy. Together they started their family and began life’s journey.
Clifton was known for his love of fishing, The Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Raptors, playing crib, and bingo.
Leaving to mourn are his children Jocelyn Boreham, Clifton Jr. (Patricia) Parsons and Jackie Parsons (Doug Poole); grandchildren Michelle (Leigh), Sarah, Dan (Laura), Carleigh (Cassie); step-grandchildren Jason and Jeremy; great-grandchildren Joshua, Fianna, Courtney, and Isla; sisters Pearl Crocker, Sadie Langdon, Dorothy Parsons, and Grace (Melvin) Nichols; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Clifton was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Annie (nee Prosper); son-in-law Danny Pennell; parents George and Sarah Parsons, parents-in-law Annie and George Prosper, baby sister Bernice; sisters Jessie Butt (Frank), Carrie Bishop (Guy); brothers-in-law Bursey Crocker, Lester Langdon, Wesley Barnes, and Gordon Parsons.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff of the Deer Lake Manor and the Corner Brook Long Term Care team for their kindness and care during Cliftons stay.
Special thank you to Ed Langdon, Wayne Taylor, Jocelyn Maxwell, and Kathy Lukeman for their endless visits. A special thank you to Grace and Melvin Nichols sincerely from his children, we are most grateful for all that you did for our dad.
As per Clifton’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. A burial will be announced to take place at the Anglican Cemetery in Trout River at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his honour to the Anglican Church Trout River or a charity of your choice.
He lived a good life. He will be forever loved and missed by many.
