Norma lived her childhood in Hampden White Bay with her large family, In her late teens she moved to Toronto, Canada. She had a career in banking and worked at Scotia bank for 40 years. After retiring Norma left her spiritual family and friends in Toronto and moved back home to Newfoundland. She lived in St Anthony until her illness when she moved to long term care in Corner Brook.
Norma loved to travel especially to visit her sisters and family in Florida and Virginia. She also enjoyed cruising with family. She loved to tell stories about her childhood and her friends Her greatest love of all was her love for Jehovah God dedicating her life as one of Jehovahs Witnesses. She was very active in her ministry until her illness. She loved speaking to her family and neighbors about Gods Kingdom and the beautiful hope for the future. Her faith helped to firmly believe in the resurrection John 5:28,29. She knew she would see her family and friends again in the resurrection and enjoy eternal life on a paradise earth.
We especially want to express our love to our niece Laverne Wilton who visited her often and took care of her needs. Special thanks to Norma's friend and ours Alice Payne who always visited, shopped for her and helped in so many ways. Both Laverne and Alice were there for Norma and showed loving care right up to her death.
The family would also express heartfelt thanks to the Drs, NPs, Nurses and staff at Corner Brook Long Term Care for their loving care of Norma Special thanks to Tammy and Jody.
Norma was loved and well cared for by all the staff.
