At the Prince County Hospital on October 29, 2025, Gerald A. Hutchings passed away peacefully. Born in Newfoundland on July 10, 1937 to his late parents William and Mary (Barter) Hutchings. Gerald will be greatly missed by his loving best friend Rita McTague.

Survived by his children Anthony, Leonard (the late Catherine) and Sharon (Mike). Grandchildren Sarah, Brandon and Jerry Jr. Daughter-in-Law Anabel Hutchings (Briseno). Siblings Roy (Marie), Bruce (Louise) and Garry Hutchings. Sister-in-Law Grace Hutchings. Gerald will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Pre-deceased by his son Jerry. Brothers Freeman (Ted and Jean), Clayton, Bill (Evelyn and Sue). Gerald was also pre-deceased by his sister Muriel and brother Ronald in infancy.

Interment in the Spring of 2026 to be announced at a later date.
