Donna Pilgrim
August 24, 1959 – November 27, 2025
It is with great sadness the family of Donna Pilgrim (Cooper) announces her passing on November 27, 2025, at the age of 66.
Donna is survived by her children Deanne and Ian Pilgrim; her grandchildren Hailey, Riley, Brody and Camdyn; and her great granddaughter Lindsey. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Ian and her sisters Doreen, Yvonne, Sandra, Audrey and Irene. As well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Donna was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lindsey, with whom she now reunited, as well as her parents, Douglas and Elizabeth Cooper, her sister Doris, and her brother Dean.
Donna was born in Nicholsville, where she spent her early years surrounded by family and many lifelong friends. As a young woman, she moved out west to Fort McMurray to begin a new chapter with Lindsey. Together they built a life filled with love and laughter while raising their two children. She later returned to Deer Lake to retire and be close to her sisters - a time in her life filled with comfort, connection and cherished memories.
Donna had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found peace in nature. She fed her blue jays every day. She loved animals of all kinds and shared a special bond with her cats, Tux and Tommy and a few stray cats especially Batman, who brought her daily joy and companionship.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to her best friend, Brenda Turner, and her nephew, Kirby Pilgrim, for their unwavering support - not only during Donna's final days, but throughout her entire adult life. Their love, presence and care will never be forgotten.
Donna's warmth, humour and kindness touched everyone around her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved her.
As per Donna’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
