It is with great sadness that the family of the late Verna Barrett (nee Crocker) announce her peaceful passing on Friday, November 28th, 2025 at Western Long-Term Care, Birchview at the age of 91 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories are her son Gordon and daughter-in-law Paulette; many nieces, nephews, staff and residents of Birchview.
She is predeceased by her husband Roy (2021), son Irvine (2011), parents Wallace and Clara Crocker and sister Nina Cashin.
The family would like to extend a very special “Thank you” to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at Western Long-Term Care, Birchview for their loving care, kindness and support over the last two years.
Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Homem, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home chapel with Reverend David Russell officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
