Mildred Violet (Marshall) Morris

May 30, 1946 – November 30, 2025

               It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mildred Violet (Marshall) Morris announce her passing on November 30, 2025, at the long-term Care Facility in Happy Valley Goose Bay.

               Mildred Morris was born on Vension Island. Throughout her life she lived in many small communities along the south coast of Labrador. Mildred spent most of her time in Norman Bay and was very fond of her summer fishing home in Seal Islands. She raised a big family of boys; she loved them and worried deeply for her family. Mildred was famous for her cooking, especially her blackberry pudding and pies.

               Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are Children: Alton James Morris (Betty Morris), Benjamin Morris, Judson Morris, Allan Morris, Augustus Morris, (Tammy Morris), Warren Morris JR. (Ovadius Morris). Grandchildren: Matthew, Robert, Jerdon, Georgie, Benny, Shauna, Ursie, Nicole, Selina, Natalie, Damian, Alice, Gideon and Jaden. Great Grandchildren: Shakia, Nevaeh, Mackenzie, RJ, Michael, Leah, Rex, Ronan, Daniel, Mallory, Maria, Jace, Carlie Rose, and Finnley. Mother Sarah Ward, Stepfather Joseph Ward. Brother and sister Raymond and Alice Ward, along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

               Mildred is predeceased by her husband Warren Morris, son Peter Morris, grandson Mitchell, and sister Carrie Ward.

The Funeral Service will be held at Fillatre's Funeral Home, Happy Valley- Goose Bay on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, beginning at 1:00 pm with Rev. Nellie Thomas officiating.

The family would like to offer special thanks to the Long Term Care facility staff, Grenfell Health, Fillatre’s Funeral Home, and all the doctors, nurses, friends and family who helped in any way during this difficult time.
