September 7, 1950 - December 8, 2025

 

 

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of the late Morris Gilley announce his peaceful passing at the Corner Brook Community Health Centre on December 8th, 2025, at the age of 75 years.

 

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Joseph, Debbie (Gord) and Kevin. His siblings: Seymour (Iris), Irene (Clarence), Lizzie (Tom), Iris (Eric) Joyce (John), Nancy (Howard), Joan (Albert), David (Susan), Dan (Leah), Dempsey (Wendy), Neila (Forward), Julie (Don), Leona (Monty) and Ben (Mary). Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and family.

 

Morris is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Freda Gilley, Parents in law, his wife of over 50 years Angela Gilley (nee Crocker), brothers Gerald and Thomas Gilley, Sister Louella, and special friend Billy Power.

 

In is early years he enjoyed fishing, later in life he enjoyed going hunting. He would often find himself going for walks around town on a nice day or just being with his family.

 

As per Morris’ wishes, cremation will take place with no formal funeral services at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
