CARD OF THANKS

We the family of the late Joyce Marion Audeau would like to express our deepest gratitude to all who supported us during this most difficult time.

To all our friends and neighbours who visited, called, sent flowers, dropped off food, sent cards, made donations to the Janeway in mom's memory and purchased mass cards, your kindness and thoughtfulness has meant more than words can say.

Thank you to Father Edward Terry for his kind words and beautiful funeral service. Also thanks to Brian and Rhonda Terry for their assistance in organizing the service.

Joyce Marion Audeau

December 16, 1930 – December 17, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the loss of our mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend, Joyce Marion Audeau, of Corner Brook on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the age of 95.

She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her children: Mary (Jim Penney), Nellie (Reg Barker), Angie (John Terry), Michael (Kim), Ron, Joan (Simon Knight), and Marlene (Sean Joyce); grandchildren: James (Denise), Sean (Jolene), Billy (Joanne), Arlene (Todd), Shelley (Ken), Dean (Natasha), Stephen (Nicole), Michael (Kristy), Jordan (Janice), Madison (Matt), Kalia, Stacey (Jordan), Liam, Kaitlyn (PJ), Amy (Alex). As well as 23 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-granddaughters.

She was predeceased by her husband Michael (1994), infant daughter Manetta (1955), brother-in-law Jack, daughter-in-law Anette (2004), and special friends Jean, Julie, Etta, Bride, and Doris.

Mom loved being outdoors, whether it was berry picking, fishing, setting snares, or just a boil up in the woods with family and friends. She also loved to be in the kitchen, preparing meals and baking for her large family and extended family.  And when she wasn’t at that, she was sitting down knitting and doing crafts while she watched The Young and the Restless. Her hands were never still.

We send a special thank you to the staff of Mountainview Retirement Center, where se has lived for the past 6 years; the staff on 5D at WMRH, Dr. Mark Smallwood for his care and compassion during her brief hospital stay, Dr. Nancy Barker for her care over the last 3 years, and Troy Bennett for his care and compassion over the last 10+ years. We’d also like to thank her friends Ronald, Irene, Paul, and Melvina for their friendships that were so cherished by mom. Special thanks to Father Terry for his many visits which gave her comfort.

Visitation will be held at Fillatres Funeral Home on St. Marks Avenue on Sunday, December 21st, 2025, at 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. A funeral mass will be held at All Hallows Church on Monday, December 22, at 10am. The funeral Service will be livestreamed through the following link:https://event.forgetmenotceremonies.com/ceremony?c=e8fc7805-cd3a-4ac4-9837-230eca4f3e96

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in moms name to The Janeway Children’s Hospital.

“Mom, pick all the berries, set all the snares, and cast the lines. “
