It is with great sadness that the family of the late Steve Mistenapeo announce his passing on December 24, 2025 at the Health Science Centre, St. John’s, NL at the age of 48 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his common law spouse: Mary Agathe Rich; dad: Hank Rich; stepmom: Caroline Rich; children: Mary Angela Rich, Angelina Rich, Matnin Rich, Dolphin Scott Rich, William Keefe, Manak Mistenapeo, and Brayden Rich; brother: Len Scott Rich; sisters: Elizabeth Pokue, Emma Pokue, Karen Lisa Rich, and Chelsea Andrew; seven granddaughters and five grandsons; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Steve was predeceased by his mother: Anne Philomena Rich; daughter: Faith Rich; grandparents: Leon and Angela Rich and Manak and Elizabeth Mistenapeo.

The funeral service will be held in the coming days at the Roman Catholic Church in Natuashish.
