January 22, 1968 – December 30, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Brian David Hynes at Cornwall Community Hospital, on December 30th, 2025, at the age of 57.

Loving spouse of Nancy Cooke. Beloved son of Robert (Barney) and Joan Hynes. Treasured father of Dakota Carriere (Amber Lee), and step-father to Ashley Cooke-Masson and Brandon St. Laurent. Cherished grandfather of Journey, Kale, Owen, Kehlani, Benton, and Autumn. Adored sibling of Dean Hynes, Maureen George, and Debra Dobing. Brian will be deeply missed by Nancy’s family, by numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. He will be remembered fondly by his brother in law Jim Cooke (Kathleen), Mike Cooke (Joanne), and sister in law Lisa Cooke. Brian will also be missed by his Home Depot work family for his smile, hard work, and dedication.

Brian was predeceased by his grandparents: Michael and Ada George, George and Jean Hynes. 

As per Brian’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Wilson Funeral Home, (613) 938-3888. Online condolences can be left at www.wilsonfuneralhome.ca , and memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
