Card of Thanks

The family of the late Arthur Ronald Drover wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the many acts of kindness to our family at our difficult time.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the visitation and funeral to pay respect and share such special memoires and stories of him.  Your presence, kind words were a source of comfort for us during this most difficult time.

Thank you all for the cards, phone calls, prayers and donations to the Soup Kitchen of the Salvation Army Community church. Thank you to Majors Brian and Valerie Wheeler for the beautiful service and Fillatre’s Funeral home for all they have done for us.

A special thank you goes to Eric West for the beautiful song, to Arthur’s son Jack and granddaughter Stephanie for reading scripture and granddaughter Barbara for reading a poem written by granddaughter Lindsay.

We also want to say a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Bungalow 3 and Corner Brook Long Term Care, Blueberry Crescent for the love and care shown to him.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Arthur Ronald Drover announce his passing on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 92 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: John Herbert “Jack” (Marina), Alphonsus Robert “Al” (Mavis), William Ernest “Ernie” (Lana), Sylvia “Susan” (Mike) Locas, Arthur Anthony “Tony” (Christine) and James Fabion “Jim” (Cheryl); 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren: step-brothers and sisters: Charles, Linda, Sandra, Brian, Gerald and Vera; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Shirley (Drover), parents Herbert and Jean Drover, great-granddaughter Faith Drover, sisters and brothers Muriel, William, Herbert, Jessie, Walter, Ernest and Robert, step-sister Joan.

A very special thank you to Bunglow #3 and Corner Brook Long Term Care, Blueberry Crescent for the exceptional care and concern over the past few years.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 8 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue with Majors Brian and Valerie Wheeler officiating. A reception will follow the funeral at Fillatre’s Funeral Home. Cremation will take place with  interment to be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen/Family Services.
