Born on June 17, 1922 in Grand Bruit, Nl, Lucy lived a life rooted in deep faith, devotion and service. She attended church faithfully every Sunday and found daily strength and guidance through reading her bible. Her faith was not only something she believed in, but something she lived out through her actions.
Firm yet fair, loving and compassionate, Lucy was always willing to lend a helping hand within her church community. She served quietly and consistently, offering support, kindness and steady encouragement to those in need.
Above all, she deeply loved her family. She was a constant and grounding presence, providing strength, wisdom and values that carried her loved one’s through life’s challenges. Her example of faith, integrity and love will continue to guide those she leaves behind.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Thelma Coade; three grandchildren, Marilyn Coade, Timothy (Tanya) Coade and William Coade; five great grandchildren, Mackenzie Coade, Irelyn Coade, Kaitlyn Coade, Lindsey Neufeld and James Coade; sister—in-law Ruth Billard, as well as a very large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband William, parents Joseph and Hannah Billard, siblings, Jack (Marjorie) Billard, Reginald (Dorothy) Billard, Walter (Mary) Billard, Robert (Clara) Billard, Angus (Winnie) Billard, Cyril Billard, Edith (Charles) Burt, Mildred (Arthur) Farrell, Ida (Wilfred) Billard and Jean (Jack) Farrell.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 10th from Faith United Church, Burgeo from 7-9:00 P.M., from where the funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 11th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Matchem officiating. Interment will follow at Burgeo Community Cemetery.
Her life was a testament to faith, family and service, and her memory will be cherished always.
