Obituary of Myrtle Ann Groves

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Myrtle Ann Groves announce her passing on January 11th, 2026, at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 75 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her Children: Denise (John), Caroline (Dion), and Edward; Grandchildren: Beverly, April (Sam), and Allison; Great grandchildren: Mitchell, Freya, Elijah, and Ivan; Brothers: John, Buddy-Morgan, Peter (Juanita), Pat, and Tommy; Sisters: Jessie and Viola (Daniel); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Myrtle was predeceased by her Parents: Bert and Ingie Winters; Husband: Hubert; Sister: Katie Winters; Brother: Alfred Winters; Niece: Rosie WInters; Nephew: David WInters; and baby girl Groves.

Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, on Monday, January 12th, 2026, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held at the Moravian Church, Makkovik, NL. The date will be announced in the coming days.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Linda Mugford for being there for Caroline and Beverly in her final hours. And a special thank you to Dr. Karaivanov and the staff at Labrador Health Centre for taking such amazing care of mom over the last few months.
