It is with great sadness that the family of the late Olive Samson of Brig Bay (formally of Dead Man’s Cove) announce her passing on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at the age of 91.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose life was defined by her unwavering commitment to her family. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest pride.

She leaves to mourn her three sons: Ward (Elaine), Scott (Sybil), and Rocky (Betty Ann). Four grandchildren: Ryan, James, Jeremy, and Zackary.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, James Samson, daughter in law Linda (Scott), parents, eight siblings, along with many other relatives and friends.

Her family takes solace in the knowledge that she lived a full and meaningful life, and that her legacy of love continues.

Visitation:   The Church of the Advent in Plum Point, NL

Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 7pm-9pm.

Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 2pm-4pm with a Family Service  at 7pm.

Funeral Service:   Friday, January 16, 2026 at 2pm with The Reverend Terry Coates officiating.   Interment to follow at Pond Cove Cemetery.
