Obituary of Glen Rumbolt
Glen Rumbolt
December 4, 1964 - January 15, 2026
It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Glen Rumbolt, who passed away in the early morning hours of Jan 15, 2026 in his home in Meadows, NL with his wife, Jacquie, by his side.
Glen is lovingly remembered by his wife Jacquie (Park) Rumbolt, his sons, Mark (Veronica) and Brandon (Jessica Johnson), his cherished grandson Raymond, his loving mother Judy (Guy) Rumbolt and his dog Sammy, Dad's Boy, his fur baby and faithful companion, who he loved so dearly; as well as brother-in-law Brent (Tricia) MacPhee and sister-in-law Virginia (Rick) Buckmaster. Glen also leaves to mourn a large extended family and special friends who he loved and appreciated very much.
Glen is predeceased by his father Gerald Rumbolt and his grandparents Jerome (Violet) Rumbolt and Claude (Rita) Guy.
Glen was born on December 4, 1964 in Corner Brook, NL where he lived until he met the love of his life, Jacquie. They married and moved to Meadows, where shortly after they started a family. He had two sons who he loved with all his heart. He was so proud of them and considered them his greatest accomplishment. He would drop everything to be there when he was needed, travel any distance without hesitation, and give his time freely. He volunteered, supported and showed up, always. The pride and joy he felt as a husband, father and grandfather was unmistakable. Glen often said Raymond, his grandson, was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen and lit up his life.
His favorite escape was his cabin where he and Jacquie spent their summers. They enjoyed spending time outside relaxing and admiring the beautiful views. It also gave them quality time with close family members Mildred and Stuart Tiller (Mick and Stu). By the light of the campfire special memories were made with countless friends and family.
Glen also loved his trips, and planning them with family and friends. Especially going down South with his Uncle Wilfred (Pill) and Marilyn Guy and best friends Dennis and Helen Anderson. He and Jacquie also had many fun adventures of their own, and with their two boys, which brought him many treasured memories through the years.
Glen didn't want to be remembered only for who he leaves behind, but for the impact he had and how he made people feel. If you remember him with love, laughter, or a sense of being supported, then you knew him well.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the Meadows Fire Department and attending first responders for their care, professionalism and thoughtful support they provided, which meant more to the family than words can express.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Meadows Fire Department.
