Obituary of Dianne Anna Hare

Anna Dianne Hare

January 26, 1958 – February 15, 2026

It is with heavy hearts the family of Dianne Hare announce her passing on Sunday, February 15^th, 2026 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 68.

She leaves to mourn with loving memories her husband Jim, her children Jamie (Brenda) and Joey (Holly); three grandchildren who she adored, Emily, Brody and Blake; her siblings George (Linda), Wes (Vera), Bruce (Marilyn), Mona (Calvin), Calvin (Louise), Clara (Max), Gertie, Allister (Lynn), Cyril (Madeline); sister-in-law Dianne and brother-in-law Roy Billard.

She is predeceased by her parents Robert and Clara, sisters Edna and Sheila, brother Edgar, brothers-in-law Calvin and Gordon, sister-in-law Thelma, father-in-law Philip and mother-in-law Marie.

Diane was born in Grand Bruit to a family of 13. She worked at Gillett’s Motel, Burgeo Haven and in Alberta in the work camps with her husband. Dianne was a loving mom to her boys and wanted the best for them. Her grandchildren meant everything to her, she loved them dearly. She was a ray of sunshine in many people’s life. She had an awesome sense of humor. Everyone in Burgeo loved Dianne. She treated everyone the same, with a smile and a joke. She will be missed by our town.

Though our hearts ache for her, we take comfort in knowing she is now at rest and reunited with her sisters and brothers.

Friends and family may visit Fatih United Church on Friday, February 20^th from the hours of 2-4 pm,; from where a Celebration of life will be held o n Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m, with Reverend William Matchem officiating.

Following with Dianne’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

The family would like to thank the staff at Calder Health Centre, Burgeo for taking care of Dianne, as well to the team who cared for her while at Western Memorial Hospital.
