Douglas Joseph Bowen
June 11, 1968 – February 19, 2026
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Douglas Joseph Bowen on February 19th, 2026, at Corner Brook Long Term Care in his 58th year.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his mother Joan, brother Kenneth, nephews Justin and Rielly, sister-in-law; Lynn Bowen. Aunt Laura Sceviour, Belinda Yetman, Uncle Eli Bowen (Marie)and special cousin Sandra Halliday. Special friends Carol (John), Irene (Bill), Alvina (Eric), Valerie (Melvin), Greta (Forrester), Karen (Jerry), Ruby (John), Daphne, and Joan.
Douglas is predeceased by his father Eric, sister Dianne, grandparents Lizzie and Jim Philpott, Rebecca and Lionel Bowen and Heber Ralph.
The family wishes to express thanks to the staff and recreation directors at Corner Brook Long Term Care, 2 South for the kindness, love and care for the last 12 years (they were all angels).
Cremation has taken place and the funeral service for Douglas will be held on Monday February 23rd at 2:00pm at the St. Davids Anglican Church in Pasadena officiated by Rev. Gosse with interment to follow at the Pasadena Anglican cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, you may donate in Douglas’s memory to St. Davids Anglican Church in Pasadena where he was a church crucifer for years.
