Fay dedicated her life to caring for others. As a teacher’s aide, she found great joy in supporting children and helping them grow. Her commitment to her community was unwavering – she served on the board of the Flat Bay Band council, was a recognized Elder with NAWN and was a valued team member with Search and Rescue throughout her adult life, always guided by a spirit of service and responsibility. Above all, Fay was a devoted mother, whose love for her son and family was steady and unconditional. She embraced life with warmth, strength, and humour, touching the lives of all who knew her. Her granddaughter loving described her as “a warrior in the sky” – a fitting tribute to a woman whose courage, resilience, and heart will never be forgotten. May her memory be a blessing, and may her spirit continue to guide those she loved. Fay was predeceased by her father Albert, mother Sheena, sister Debbie, brother Boyd, and grandparents.
