Obituary of Todd Pottle
Please share a memory of Todd to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The family of Todd Pottle are deeply saddened to share his premature passing in the early hours of Monday, March 9 th , at the age of 57, following a medical emergency, surrounded by his children, his parents, and people who loved him. Born in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL, Todd
spent the majority of his storied life in Rigolet, maintaining close, life-long ties to friends and
family in the community.
Todd is predeceased by his firstborn, Melissa Pottle, his son, Dylan Pottle, and his sisters, Deidre Michelin and Tammy Cooney. Leaving to mourn his loss are his children, Brian Pottle, Julia Allen, Sebastian Pottle, Clyde Pottle, Mariah Pottle, and Samuel Pottle; his stepson, Cameron Rich; his grandson, Dylan Pottle; his parents, Charlotte and David Wolfrey; his biological father, Basil Webber; his siblings, Dawn Michelin (Sheldon Andersen), Desiree Wolfrey (Derick Williams), Roxanne Michelin (Amanda Campbell), Koli Webber (Megan Webber), Konrad Webber, and Jason; his close friends, Tony Blake and Nicole Mutrey; and a large circle of extended family and friends.
Todd possessed a wealth of knowledge and practical skill (having had 4 or 5 diplomas in different trades), and was quick to help friends and family with fixing anything mechanical or anything to do with construction. As many of his family and friends know, his cooking skills were exceptional, and he arguably made the best chili around. For his children, Todd/Dad led by example, teaching us the importance of family, how to live on the land with traditional Inuit values, the value of a strong work ethic, how to be self reliant, and how to find joy in life.
Gone too soon, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Todd’s family extend our sincerest gratitude to the Rigolet clinic staff and community members who came together to help Todd when he needed it, to the paramedics who escorted Todd to St. John’s with the utmost diligence, and to the many doctors, nurses, and medical staff at St. Clare’s who assisted Todd and helped keep him comfortable in his final moments.
Per Todd’s wishes, cremation will be taking place. A memorial service in Rigolet will follow.

Those we love don't go away;
They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard but always near.
Sill loved, still missed, and very dear.
