Obituary of Samuel G. S. Spence

April 26, 1941 - March 23, 2026

It is with the utmost sadness that the family of the Late Samuel G. S. Spence of Port au Choix, announce his passing on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre, at the age of 84 years, surrounded by his loving family.

He leaves to mourn with fond and cherished memories,  his wife Phyllis of 61 years, his sons:  Kirby (DuLeina), Ralph (Sheila) and Carson (Bernette); his daughters:  Elizabeth and Colleen (Conway); grandchildren:  Kenneth (Kristen), Kayla (Allen), Korey, April (Anthony) Dinah, Kirby, Riley (Stephanie), Ethan, Evan and Erin; great - grandchildren: Lexis, Remy, Kennedy, Easton and Corbin;  sister Norma Goodland; sisters-in-law:  Shirley Spence and Gertrude Spence; special friends:  Gary (Wanda) Dobbin, Vincent (Olive) Genneaux, Hank (Martha) Payne, Alma, Calletta, Bobby and Brittany Mclean, Rob (Velda) House and Don (Tracey) House.

Sam is predeceased by his parents Robert and Olga (Kennedy) Spence, parents-in-law Ralph and Alma O'Keefe; brothers:  Robert (Bob), Kenneth, Alexander (Don), William (Bill), Bruce and Lyman.; sisters:  Laura, Stella and May; brothers-in-law Wesley Goodland, Martin House, Peter Hinks, and Joseph White; sisters-in-law Elizabeth and Evelyn.

'Sam' will always be fondly remembered and forever loved.

As per His wishes cremation has taken place.
