With fond and loving memories the family of Brenda M. Newman announce her passing on Monday, March 30, 2026 at the age of 73 years.

Brenda was born in Deer Lake to parents Harry and Gladys White on April 21, 1952.

She will be greatly missed by her 2 children: Dion (Denna), and Steve (Vanessa), her 5 siblings: Terry (Maureen), Karon, Donald (Bernice), Kevin (Robin), Glen (Laura), her 6 grandchildren: Tonya, Lindsay, Denver (Stephen), Maccoy, Liam, and Roman, her 2 great-grandchildren, and her best friends: Ruby, Dora, and Janice, along with a large circle of relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her sisters Connie and Maisie and her parents Harry and Gladys White.

Brenda was a caring mother, a proud grandmother, and a selfless friend. She was the heart of her family. She was a very humble and modest person and was known for her delicious baked goods. Brenda loved yard sales and finding a good deal, especially if she knew someone that was in need. Everything Brenda did was done with care and love for others, and she was genuinely the most selfless woman anyone could ever meet.

Brenda was an avid church goer who loved attending church on Sundays, and whose heart was dedicated to her saviour. She was a well-loved and caring person. She had the most beautiful smile, and she made space in her heart for everyone she crossed paths with. She touched the hearts of everyone she met and will be dearly missed.

A special thank you to the members of the First Pentecostal Church for cherishing her through all the years. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, the incredible love and support that surrounded her will remain with us forever.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, Corner Brook on Friday, April 3^rd from the hours of 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at First Pentecostal Church, 58 Premier Drive, Corner Brook on Saturday, April 4^th at 11:00AM with Pastor Lindsey Foster officiating. Interment will follow at the Pentecostal cemetery located on Osmond's Avenue, Corner Brook, NL. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Food Bank or the First Pentecostal Church Building Fund in Corner Brook, or to a charity of one's choice.

She will forever be in our hearts.
