It is with great sadness that the family of the late Danita Mistenapeo announce her passing on March 29th, 2026, in Hopedale, NL.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her adopted parents: Desmond Piwas and Mary Margaret Rich; parents: Eddy Tshakapesh and Mary Georgette Mistenapeo: brothers: Wayne, Eric, Adam, Eddy, and Dominic; sisters: Natasha, Erica, Shakira, Mary Jane, Melissa and Charlene; grandparents: Sebastien and Mary Theresa Piwas; as well as many extended relatives and friends.
Danita was predeceased by her brother: Kirby; and grandparents: Joachim and Edith Tshakapesh.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 4th from the Roman Catholic Church in Natuashish, with Father Praveen Thomas officiating.
