Edmund (Eddie) Louis Gould
March 4 1963 - March 31, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edmund (Eddie) Louis Gould announced his passing on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 63 surrounded by his family. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Liga, Children Edmund (Tiffany), Christopher (Sarah) , Jodi (Mitch), Lance and Deanne.Grandchildren Breanna, Trevor, Tyson, Zachary, Jessica, Kira, Ariella, Karley, Maleah, Janna, Jade, Dawson and Amber, Great Grandchildren Sky and Liam; Brothers: Bud, Billy, Scott(Karen), sisters Lorena(Frank), Bonnie, Rhonda (Henry), Iris (Todd), Anna (Mitch), Elizabeth, Mother in law Cassie, Brother in Law Lenny (Sonya), Rick (Alma), sisters in law Melina (Gerry), Renna (Bradley) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
He was predeceased by parents Raymond and Ellen, Brother, Norman, Father in Law, Ambrose Payne.
Eddie is known for his quick wit and his kind heart. He loved people and loved meeting people. If he didn’t know you, it wasn’t long before he was your “unforgettable friend”. Eddie was known for his knowledge of the long range mountains and spent many years in Great Harbour Deep. He started fishing with his dad at just 14 years old. He was a fisherman for 45 years. A job that he loved. It was a proud dad moment when he spent the last couple of years of his fishing career with his son, Edmund. He was an active member of the Long Range Search and Rescue for 10+ years. Eddie’s passion was ski-dooing and spending time at the cabins with family and friends. He was always up for a game of cards with Paul/Barb and Carl/Sonya with a good argument along the way. He loved to go to their camper in Pine Ridge. It was another way he could socialize with his family and friends.
Eddie’s greatest JOY in life was his grandchildren. Wherever you saw him, he had many of his grandchildren. He taught them how to fish, hunt, drive skidoo/bike/boat and whatever else he could do. And, if they asked Liga and she said “no”, Eddie would tell them “yes”.
Eddie will be always remembered and forever.
