Obituary of Matthew Penunsi
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Matthew Penunsi announce his passing on April 1st, 2026, in Sheshatshiu, NL at the age of 35 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children: Landis, Noven, Taila and adopted daughter Tiana; mother: Bernadette Penunsi; brothers: John Baptiste, Dominic Jr, Shinipest, and Penote: sisters: Maggie, Chelsea, Mary Ann, and Davianna; grandfather: Penote Antuan; as well as a large circle of extended relatives and friends.
Matthew was predeceased by his father: Dominic Penunsi; brother: Joey; and Grandmother: Julianna Antuan.
The wake will be held on Wednesday , April 8th, 2026, at 7 Mackenzie Drive, Sheshatshiu starting at 2:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 9th, 2026, from the Roman Catholic Church Sheshatshiu, NL, starting at 1:00 pm with Father Boniface officiating. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
