Obituary of Olive Broomfield

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Olive Broomfield announce her passing on April 8^th, 2026, at Long Term Care, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 92 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Amos (Denise), Elaine (Ron), Norman, Charles (Valerie), Hayward, Anne (John), Walter (Patricia), and Paul (Vanessa); grandchildren: Natalie, Sheldon, Bradley, Jason, Kimberly, Wesley, and Sierra; as well as many extended relatives and friends.

Olive was predeceased by her husband: Tom; and son: Jim.

Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy valley-Gosoe Bay, NL on Sunday, April 12^th, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 13^th, 2026, from the Happy Valley United Church starting at 2:00 pm with Moravian Lay Minister Sophie Ford officiating. Interment to follow at the Moravian Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Moravian Church.

The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of the Labrador Health Centre and Long Term Care.
