Obituary of Alice Anderson
Alice Anderson
October 23, 1949 - April 9, 2026
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Alice Anderson on April 9, 2026, at the age of 79, while in the care of the Palliative Care Unit at Western Long Term Care.
She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 56 years, Mike Anderson; her children: Martina (Blair Tucker), Michelle (Trevor Rendell), and Michael (Jillian Fillier); her cherished grandchildren: Roisin, Elizabeth, Chloe, Katelyn, Heather, and Charlie; great-grandchildren: Jack, Lucy, and Sara. She also leaves to mourn her sister, Martina O’Neill (Ed); her brother, Albert White; her sister-in-law, Valerie Anderson; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of friends. Alice will also be deeply missed by the family’s precious pet, Brady.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lou and Bessie White; her parents-in-law, Doug and Margaret Anderson; her sisters-in-law Fran Anderson and Joyce White; brother-in-law, Doug Anderson.
Alice was a strong and faithful woman who loved her family with her whole heart. She was an active and devoted member of the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer and was also involved with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, where she gave generously of her time and compassion.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Drs. Bolous, Woolfrey, Smallwood, and Caines for their care and kindness, as well as to Dr. Fleming and all of the Palliative Care staff for their compassion and support.
Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, on Sunday from 2–4 p.m. and 7–9 p.m.The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 13, at 2:00 p.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue, with Father Ed Terry officiating. Cremation will follow, with interment at a later date. A reception will be held at the Westmount Club following the Mass. All are welcome to attend.
