Margaret Wells Nee (Christopher)
June 20, 1934 – April 16, 2026 – Age 91

The family of the late Margaret Wells is saddened to announce her passing in Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on April 16, 2026, at the age of 91 in the presence of her loving family.

She was the glue of our family, the heart that kept us connected through every season of life.  Her unwavering love, quiet strength and deep devotion to her family created a bond that will endure beyond her passing.  Our Mother loved to cook and found real joy in making sure everyone was tended to and well fed. She welcomed everyone with warmth and care.  She carried her traditions from her family and passed them down to her children and future generations.  She was extremely proud working for 20 years at the Glynmill Inn Hotel, where she made many lifelong friendships.  She valued the connections she built there and often spoke fondly of the people she worked with.

She leaves behind her loving children, Barbara (Gordon Ellsworth), Kimberley (Fort Nelsen, BC), Donna (Oshawa, On), Melvin (Donna) Oshawa, On, Regina (Peter) Kingston, On, Jeffery (Kelley), Clinton (Amanda), Daughter-in-law Rose. Grandchildren Mark (Amanda), Roger (Kayla), Dwayne (Carla), Ryan, Cody (Diane), Matthew (Victoria),Melissa (Cameron),Samantha (Dustin), Natasha (Sterling), Markus, Lindsey, Amber (Jesse), Paige, Michelle (Dwayne), Jennifer (Robert), Robyn (Frankie), Kayla (James), and Great Grandchildren Meghan, Clair, Madison, Sophia, Brody, Brynlee, Isaiah, Elianna, Kira, Lexie, Emily, Easton, Lincoln, James and Nicole.  Brother Gerald (Kay) and sister Jean (Rendal), Brother-in-law Albert Wheeler (Hilda), Edward House and Harold Rentz. Sister in laws Gearldine & Eileen. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, David Percy Wells, whose enduring presence is felt in the legacy they left behind.  Also departed beloved sons Edward, Doug and Lawrence, who are missed dearly. Her parents Mary Ellen and Joseph Christopher. Her brothers Thomas, William and Kevin and sisters Doreen and Patricia.  Brother-in-law Austin Taylor, Regina (Bernard Kennedy), Ruby House and John and Myra Wheeler.

The Family gratefully acknowledges and thanks all caregivers, healthcare professionals, and others who provided compassionate care and support throughout her journey at home, in the bungalows and WMRH. “To care for someone is to treat their inner worlds as if it were as real as your own.”

Fred visited Mom at home everyday with care and devotion she eagerly awaited his visits, a testament to their beautiful and enduring friendship.

Special thanks and gratitude to Kelley, who was a constant pillar of strength, compassion and devoted care to our mother, “Her Buddy”. She watched over her ensuring her comfort, dignity and safety for many years.  Kelley’s kindness, selflessness and gentle presence brought immeasurable peace not only to our mother but to our entire family.

“Though she will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with Dad, our brothers and loved ones in heaven”
